Excerpt: Baptism is the key. The baptism of the Lord opened the door on His public ministry. Our own baptisms unlocked the fellowship of the Church to each of us and made us the stewards of the new creation in Christ. We also begin our public ministry in baptism. Gifts and talents which might only have been used to build up ourselves in our sinfulness are now at the service of all God’s creation. Share in the ministry of Christ throughout the year, and just as He shared in our humanity we may one day share in His everlasting life.
