Minutes of the Parish Pastoral Council of St. Paul’s Parish
February 2, 2010
7:00 P.M., the Undercroft, Yellow Springs, OH

1. Call to Order & Faith Formation: Gretchen Beers  7:07 PM    Dolores Sizemore – Faith Formation
2. Introduction of Guests: None Present
3. Present at the Meeting: Gretchen Beers, Father Tony, Dolores Sizemore, John Feltz, Gail Chambers, Jo Dunphy, Beth Paciorek, Anne Sidney, Carole Grady and Suzann Blanton.
4. Approval/Correction of Minutes of:  January 12, 2010 – Spelling changed for Struewing –  Under old and pending business.  Change statement to “As previously decided at March 3, 2009 meeting, suggested donations for weddings and funerals are in place and details are available by contacting the rectory.”  Approved by Beth Paciorek and seconded by Jo Dunphy.

6. New Business
   1. The Lenten Booklets and schedule will not be mailed out. They will be handed out at Masses the weekend of Feb. 13 & 14, Ash Wednesday and Feb. 20-21.
7. Commission Reports
   1. Building & Grounds -John Struewing – Not Present
   2. Cemetery – Ken Struewing – Not Present
   3. Education – Beth Paciorek – Jan. 26 meeting – Teacher training courses are in progress. Junior High is planning a day of retreat at Transfiguration Center in Ludlow Falls. Nine children are preparing for the sacraments. Please refer to the Lenten schedule. Josh Danis is planning a retreat for Feb. 27th 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM. The theme will be “Lenten Desert Feast.”
   4. Finance – John Feltz – 74 families responded to make a pledge for an increase in stewardship. 157 out of 331 families are regular envelope users.  200 envelopes were handed out. The increase is 604.75 per week.  This is a $7.29 increase per family.
   5. Worship – Joyce Robinson – Not present- will meet Feb 3.
   6. Youth Ministry – Rob Marion – Not present
   7. PLOC – Parish Life and Outreach Commission:  Dan Retherford -Not present
8. Matters for the Good of the Parish:  A discussion was raised regarding the completion of the undercroft. The book shelves, Sacristy and the Vestry walls need to be repaired and painted.
9. Pastor’s Comments – A ministry has come forward to help Father with training servers.
10. Verification of Next Meeting – March 2, 2010- 7:00 P.M.
