or New Zealand. Activities of the days, organized by the 
dioceses, often include: 
- Meaningful encounters with the local Church community 
- Cultural activities and visits to local sites of interest 
- Prayer and visits to shrines 
- Social service projects"

Opening Mass of welcome in Sydney celebrated by Cardinal George Pell 
followed by concert.

Catechesis (teaching) sessions in the morning and Youth Festival

Catechesis (teaching) sessions in the morning and Youth Festival 
events in afternoon/evening.
Arrival and welcome of the Holy Father.

Friday, July 18th 2008
Catechesis (teaching) sessions in the morning and Stations of the 
Cross - a re-enactment of Our Lord's Passion and Death in the evening.

Saturday, July 19th 2008
Pilgrimage walk to site of Closing Mass, evening Vigil with The Holy 
Father and sleep out 'under the stars.'

Closing Mass and concluding events.
