Dessert will be served.  A joint meeting of the Education Commission & the PLOC will be June 28^th at 7:00 p.m.

8.         Matters for the Good of the Parish – “The Future of the Parish” was brought to our attention and discussed by John Feltz. This will be part of “New Business” at the next scheduled meeting. The discussion will include strategies regarding the merging of St. Augustine, St. Paul and St. Brigid in the future.

9.         Pastor’s Comments – Father wants to include in the Mass a formal prayer for all vocations. The diocese is using this concluding prayer format also.

c.        Education – Beth Paciorek – Report submitted. The ACRE test results are in. The spring retreat was April 30^th and approximately 25 were in attendance. VBS will be held Sunday, June 26 through Thursday, June 30^th, from 6-8 PM.  The Education Commission and PLOC will have a joint meeting June 28^th.

d.         Finance – John Feltz  – a report was submitted. The parish is in good financial shape. The parish- ioners are generous and the staff is frugal. A stewardship campaign is scheduled for this fall.

f.          Youth Ministry – AnnDee Pettiford – Not present.

g.         Parish Life and Outreach Commission (PLOC) – Josh Danis – Parish Family Fellowship on Wednesdays has an average attendance of 10 people. The emphasis is the key role that prayer plays in developing our community. Eucharistic Adoration continues on second Friday of the month through summer. The commission is planning a calendar for next school year. An appreciation dinner will be held Monday, June 6^th for all Parish Pastoral Council members and PSR teachers.

8.         Matters for the Good of the Parish – Beth Paciorek resigned from the Education Commission.  A new chair is needed.  Anne Sidney resigned from the Parish Pastoral Council. Gail will check the list of those who were last nominated and said “yes” to serve and proceed to find a new member. Thank you both for your dedication and efforts.

e.         Worship – Jeff Inslee – The commission will meet again April 10^th after Mass. A discussion of continuing Evensong during Lent on Sunday evenings was brought to the attention of the council.  A discussion will take place with members of the choir.  If Bradley and the choir want to continue Evensong, Josh will work with them.

g.         Parish Life and Outreach Commission (PLOC) – Josh Danis – Reported that our Three Years of Growth and our Call to the Work of the Gospel are on target. a.   Deanery Business – Regional & Partnering relationships. Fr. Tony, Gretchen Beers, Gail Chambers and Cindy Feltz attended the meeting. It was a very early discussion of steps to resolve geographic pairings of churches and numbers of parish members. More discussion will follow.

b.   Election of Officers- Bob Furlong and Gretchen Beers are off the council as of this evening. Jon Paul was voted as new chair. John Feltz and Bob Furlong motioned for approval. Suzann was voted as vice-chair. Jo Dunphy and Dolores Sizemore motioned for approval. Anne Sidney will be the secretary. John Feltz and Bob Furlong motioned for approval.

c.   Cleaning of New Rectory/ “old” POB- Joyce Magil will clean 3 hours approximately twice a month for a trial basis.

d.   Music during Communion Procession and Liturgical Movement- It was brought to the attention of the secretary by five members of the parish that the music during the communion procession is repetitive. Regarding the Liturgical Movement it was discussed with Karen Kane at the Archdiocese. There should be no dancing, just small movement. She also stated that the antiphon is repeated once or twice then the communion hymn should start. A motion was made to refer the topic to Worship Commission and to be resolved before Advent. The item will be back on the agenda in October. Jo Dunphy and Anne Sidney approved the motion.

a.         Building & Grounds –Rhonda Connolly is the new chair

b.         Cemetery – Ken Struewing-not present- $10,000 added to savings for water pipes. It was requested that more trees be added.

c.         Education – Beth Paciorek not present – Josh reported that PSR has registered 75 children. There will be a Fall Retreat, November 20^th from 11:00-4:30. The title will be “Christ the King”. This is a precursor to the three year growth event for adults. Advent wreaths and other events will be discussed.

d.         Finance – John Feltz-The parish is $27,070 ahead of donations compared to like periods in 2009. We have $4,295 unspent in the Maintenance Fund. If the level of giving is maintained we will have $10,567 for church maintenance. The budget will be published in the September bulletin including the new property.

e.         Worship – Joyce Robinson not present -Meeting will be held September 21, 2010.

f.          Youth Ministry – New representative needed.

g.         Parish Life and Outreach Commission (PLOC). Josh Danis- The commission has not been active. The next meeting will be in October and reported in November.

8.         Matters for the Good of the Parish- Jon Paul will compile a letter regarding the giving of time and money to be included with the new budget.

Anthony went to diocese to share our plans for purchase.  They expressed fears that the diocese might make them the model for other parishes, it was that good.  We are 98% completed.  Signing is set to occur on August 12^th with occupancy to occur on the 24^th.

6.      New Business:  Roman Missal:  Fr. Anthony showed a forty-five minute video introducing the theme and some of the specifics of the New Roman Missal.  Conversation followed.  Joshua Danis said he wishes we could start it.

• · Finance:  John Feltz discussed the budget estimates for 2010-2011.  Our interest income is estimated to be down $12,000 and cuts will be made in other areas to compensate.  New budget will have to be designed once we know if the purchase of the house is official.
• · Worship:  Joyce Robinson shared the minutes for the Worship Commission meeting from May 18^th.  Dolores Sizemore shared updates on the albs to be purchased.  More items to be donated in time.
• · Parish Life & Outreach:  Joshua Danis mentioned the consecration to the Blessed Virgin is going well.  Thirty people are doing it on August 15^th.
• · Youth Ministry:  No report

7.      Matters for the Good of the Parish:  Fr. Tony discussed his concerns about returning the votive candle stand into the church such as the chance of fire from lighted candles, theft of donated money, and work involved in caring for the votive candles and globes.

8.      Pastor’s Comments:  “Three Years of Spiritual Growth” will be discussed as a theme over the next three years.  Nominations for new Parish Pastoral Council members, whose terms will be up, will be researched and further discussed next month.
