MONTHLY FOOD COLLECTION: Aug. 28-29

ALTAR SERVERS REFRESHER TRAINING will take place immediately following Mass on August 28/29 and Sept. 11/12, 18/19 & 25/26 (lasting only 15-20 minutes). If you are serving on one of these dates, please remain after Mass. If you are not scheduled to serve on any of these dates, PLEASE SELECT ONE to attend (only one training period is required). The ministers’ schedule for August/September is available on the wall outside the Sacristy door (downstairs) so that you may choose a date.

OUR ANNUAL PARISH PICNIC is less than a month away (Sunday, Sept. 19th at 12:15 PM) with only a few volunteers stepping forward to offer assistance thus far. We hope you will mark your calendar and make plans now to attend! If you think can help out in any way, please call Suzann Blanton (325-2694) or Gail (767-7450 Ext.10). ALL help is greatly appreciated !

P.S. Start thinking about a side dish you might like to bring along to share. Last year we were short of side dishes, but had PLENTY of desserts … not that there’s anything wrong with desserts! Hope to see everyone there!

PLEASE JOIN US NEXT SUNDAY, August 29th at 12:15 PMish for the 6TH ANNUAL ICE-CREAM SOCIAL to benefit the St. Paul’s Newborn Outreach Ministry. Ben Young has again graciously donated his family’s yummy ice-cream for this worthy cause. Please make plans to come to the Undercroft for an enjoyable time with your friends and family … by doing so you will be contributing to a valuable, much needed ministry. If anyone would like to donate pies for the ice-cream social, we would appreciate that kind gesture. Just bring the pies to the church undercroft on either Saturday, August 28th or Sunday, August 29th. (There should be room to put the pies in the refrigerator.) We are always looking and hoping for new members. In fact, we are in need of a chairperson to take over for Judy Jenkins who began, organized and has led the Newborn Outreach Ministry for six years.
